Derek Foote serves as one of the Training Directors at the Fort Wayne Electrical JATC, where he brings extensive field experience and a commitment to advancing the electrical industry. A graduate of the Fort Wayne Electrical JATC Apprenticeship Program, Derek has dedicated his career to the skilled trades, combining hands-on expertise with leadership in workforce development.

Before assuming his current role, Derek worked for 33 years at Shambaugh & Son, a local electrical contractor. During his tenure, he held key roles, including journeyman, foreman, and general foreman, gaining invaluable experience in managing teams and delivering complex electrical projects.

Derek Foote’s deep industry knowledge and leadership skills make him an invaluable resource for preparing the next generation of electricians and enhancing the quality of training programs at the JATC.
